MLN Advertising Inc is a leading technology company supporting the advertising industry. Our platforms, MediaGlu and DataGlu utilize best of breed technology, data, and advanced mathematics to drive marketing outcomes for our customers. Our platforms analyze the path that anonymous consumers and their cohorts take through media to an advertiser’s desired action (sign up, purchase, etc.)

This Privacy Policy presents MLN Advertising privacy practices, including our data usage and collection across our platforms and the mlnadvertising.com and mediaglu.net websites.

Information We Collect

In the course of delivering an advertisement or measuring the effectiveness of an advertising campaign, MLN Advertising does not collect personally identifiable information about you. Personally identifiable information includes data such as your name, address, phone number, social security number, or email address. MLN Advertising does collect non-personally identifiable information about you, for the use of targeting ads and measuring the effectiveness of ads on behalf of MLN Advertising’s advertisers. This non-personally identifiable data includes information such as: domain type, browser, operating system, keyboard language, internet service provider, IP address, whether you viewed an ad, clicked on an ad, and how your interacted with our advertiser’s web sites.

MLN Advertising uses this non-personal information to create data segments and to measure campaign efficacy. MLN Advertising also obtains information from 3rd party data providers who collect information such as behavioral, contextual, and demographic data. For example, if you visit a number of parenting websites, you may be categorized as a parent.

MLN Advertising does not collect data or create data segments that are based upon what we consider to be sensitive information, such as detailed financial information and sensitive medical conditions. We do not use any data segments to determine credit worthiness, for insurance underwriting or similar purposes. Additionally, we do not collect information identifying users as children.

Cookies: Optout

Like most Internet sites, MLN Advertising uses “cookies” to enhance user’s experience on the Web. MLN Advertising cannot use these cookies to personally identify you in any way, and these cookies in no way damage your system or files.

What are cookies and how do they enhance your Web experience?

A MLN Advertising cookie is a unique number that is assigned to you the first time MLN Advertising serves you an ad or identifies you on a client’s website. This number is stored in a file on your computer and helps us deliver the optimal ad to you. For instance, cookies help MLN Advertising ensure that you don’t repeatedly see the same advertisement. Cookies can also help advertisers measure how you utilize an advertiser’s site and the effectiveness of an advertisement. Although MLN Advertising believes that cookies help enhance your experience on the Web by delivering more relevant messages to you, MLN Advertising does not need cookies to deliver ads to you. If you decline a MLN Advertising cookie, you will still be able to view ads; however, you may see the same ad repeatedly or be delivered ads that have no relevance to you. You may opt out of our cookies here. Opting out ceases all data collection for a period of five (5) years and removes your user id from targeting. How long is data stored?

MLN Advertising sets our cookies to expire after one years and the expiration date updates every time you encounter our server. MLN Advertising retains the web log data for ninety days and aggregations and reports for up to three years.

Transparent GIFs and IP Addresses
In addition to cookies, MLN Advertising may use transparent 1×1 gifs and/or collect IP Addresses and device IDs to help our platform understand how you interact with our advertiser’s websites. IP Address and device IDs allow us the measure consumer interactions on mobile devices.

Data Sharing
MLN Advertising may publish or otherwise make public anonymous, aggregate, or summary information regarding our Site visitors and campaigns run on behalf of our clients. MLN Advertising may share visitor level data with an advertiser, restricted to include only data associated with the client’s campaigns. MLN Advertising will never share consumer data with any third parties. These also may be instances when we may need to disclose visitor information in order to: protect the legal rights of MLN Advertising or its employees, agents, or contractorsl protect the safety and security of our Website; protect against fraud; or to comply with law or legal process. If MLN Advertising sells all or part of its business or makes a sale or transaction of assets or its otherwise involved in a merger or business transfer, we may transfer visitor information to a third party as part of that transaction.

Consumer Choice and Access

Since MLN Advertising does not collect personally identifying information (such as your full name, email address, mailing address, telephone number, or credit card number) (“PII”) we do not maintain a process for an individual to review and/or request changes to his or her PII.

Security

MLN Advertising uses commercially reasonable measures to safeguard data in our possession against loss, theft and unauthorized use, disclosure or modification. No transmission of data over the Internet, however, is guaranteed to be completely secure. It may be possible for third parties not under the control of to intercept or access transmissions or communications unlawfully. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us.

Policy Revisions

From time to time MLN Advertising may revise this Privacy Policy. If we make revisions that change the way we collect or use PII those changes will be posted in this Privacy Policy and the effective date will be noted at the beginning of the Policy.
